Do you know an outstanding volunteer? Nominate them today and they could win $1,000 for charity!

Molina Healthcare of Michigan is accepting nominations for its 11th Annual Community Champions Awards event which will be hosted to celebrate the good deeds of outstanding volunteers. Now through Friday, March 24, local nonprofits and residents of Wayne County, Genesee County, Oakland County and surrounding areas are invited to nominate the unsung heroes in the community who go above and beyond to improve the lives of fellow residents.

All winners will be honored at Molina Healthcare’s Community Champions Awards celebration in Detroit on May 18. At the event, community based organizations will come together to recognize the winners, each of whom will receive a trophy and $1,000 grant to gift to a non-profit of his/her choice.

The program was established in 2006 in memory of Molina’s founder, Dr. C. David Molina, who was committed to serving vulnerable populations such as women and children, seniors and low-income families. The Community Champions Awards program celebrates volunteers who work tirelessly in their communities to help others. Nominees and ultimately, the winners, are community members who inspire others through their selflessness, extraordinary service and contributions that positively affect the lives of those around them.

The nomination deadline is midnight on Friday, March 24, 2017.
