Miley Cyrus Dedicates 'Malibu' Performance On 'The Voice' To Manchester Bombing Victims (VIDEO)

Miley Cyrus returned to “The Voice” on Tuesday, singing “Malibu” on the season 12 finale. She dedicated the performance to Ariana Grande and the victims of the Manchester bombing. Check out the video above.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Cyrus joined “The Voice” as a coach in season 11, which aired last fall. Despite some promising contestants, none of her team members made it into the finals. Nonetheless, the pop star was an enthusiastic participant, and inspirational mentor, throughout the NBC competition. And in October, before the season was even close to over, it was announced Cyrus would be returning to “The Voice” for season 13.

For the upcoming fall cycle, Cyrus will take the chair currently occupied by Gwen Stefani. She’ll be joined by, as usual, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, as well as Jennifer Hudson. Hudson served as a coach on “The Voice UK” earlier this year, and will now make her debut on the U.S. edition as a replacement for current coach Alicia Keys.

In the time since season 11 ended, Cyrus has been working on her upcoming album, for which “Malibu” is the first single. The song was released earlier this month, and the singer went on a radio tour to promote it, in addition to giving the first live performance at Wango Tango. This past Sunday, Cyrus sang “Malibu” at the Billboard Music Awards, marking the first TV performance of the track.

Now “The Voice” has the honor of hosting the second televised rendition, in advance of Cyrus’ “Today” show concert later this week. As for this season of the reality show, Cyrus made her allegiance perfectly clear in an Instagram post on Monday. “I love my big sis @aliciakeys so much! Make sure you vote for #TeamAlicia on @nbcthevoice,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself with Keys. As Gossip Cop reported, Keys’ remaining artist Chris Blue competed in part one of the finale last night.

Cyrus also amusingly said in another post, “joinin my V fam for the finale! Soooo excited to see my big sis @aliciakeys !!!! I miss y’all too @blakeshelton @adamlevine !!! (But AK I missed you most lol.)” Watch video of the “Malibu” performance above.
