Freddie Prinze Jr. Says Kiefer Sutherland Was Such a Jerk on "24" That He Wanted to Quit Acting
FREDDIE PRINZE JR. hasn't done much acting recently, and apparently that's KIEFER SUTHERLAND'S fault. Freddie had a major supporting role on "24" back in 2010 . . . and in a new interview, he says Kiefer was such a jerk that he didn't want to act anymore. He says, "It was terrible. I hated every moment of it.
"Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash. I'd say it to his face. Everybody that's worked with him has said that. I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I sort of just stopped."
He doesn't elaborate on what Kiefer did, but he did say he was forced to take his shoes off to do scenes with Kiefer . . . because he was so much taller than him. He adds, quote, "Just put the guy on [a box] or don't hire me next time.
"You know I'm 6 feet and he's 5'4." For what it's worth, the Internet says Kiefer is five-foot-nine, and Freddie is 6'1. So-called "sources connected to Freddie" claim Kiefer's drinking problem contributed to him pulling a total Lindsay Lohan on the set . . . you know, being a diva, making people wait for him, stirring up drama, and so on.
Kiefer hasn't responded . . . but his rep says, quote, "This is the first [Kiefer] has heard of Freddie's grievances. Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best."
Interestingly enough, that feeling WAS MUTUAL, at the time. In an old interview from 2010, Freddie said Kiefer helped him out a lot . . . and that he, quote, "really enjoyed working with him," and that it was "really rewarding."
