Jay's dad almost died from Sepsis last year after surgery and ever since, Jay has been trying to bring awareness to the infection.
Today as his dad celebrates his 70th birthday, Jay found out he's being recognized with a Sepsis Hero Award and will be celebrated during the Sepsis Alliance gala in New York in September.
