Diane Tirado has been a teacher for almost two decades and just got fired because of her grading system!
She gave her 8th graders two weeks to make an 'explorer's notebook' and when some of the students didn't turn anything in they got zeroes.
The school's policy is that the lowest grade students can get is 50%, but Diane says "If there's nothing to grade, how can I give somebody a 50%?'
The school stands by their decision saying 'this was part of a pattern of her being, defiant and she wasn't just fired over the grades.'
