Astronomicon, one of Metro Detroit’s leading pop culture conventions, is set to take place Fri., April 4 – Sun., April 6, 2025, at Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti. This convention brings together movie stars and pop culture icons from a variety of genres, plus some of the country’s best comic, toy, and movie memorabilia vendors.

This year’s convention headliners include:

• Jason Lee – “My Name is Earl,” “Mallrats,” “Alvin & The Chipmunks”

• Jamie Pressley – “My Name is Earl,” “Not Another Teen Movie,” “Joe Dirt”

• Sting – wrestling legend

• David Howard Thornton – “Terrifier,” “Terrifier 2,” “Terrifier 3”

Other celebrity guests include:

• Lou Diamond Phillips – “La Bamba,” “Young Guns,” “Longmire”

• Jason Patric – “The Lost Boys,” “Sleepers,” “Speed 2”

• Dr. Britt Baker – AWE star

• Kevin Nash – wrestling legend, WWE Hall of Fame

• Eddie Steeples – “My Name is Earl”

• Celebrity photo sessions (additional cost)

• VIP packages with exclusive access to convention and concerts (additional cost)

• An adult cosplay contest with a $300 first place prize (Ages 13+)

• A children’s cosplay contest with prizes for each participant

• Vendor area with dozens of booths offering pop culture items, cosplay costumes and accessories, unique works of art, and more

Convention Hours are:

• Friday, April 4 from 5 PM to 10 PM

• Saturday, April 5 from 11 AM to 7 PM

• Sunday, April 6 from 11 AM to 5 PM

Tickets start at $30. Children ages six to 12 are $15, children five and under are free.
