Meet Tessa!
She's a friendly, outgoing and energetic 10 year-old girl who happens to have Down syndrome. In addition to Down syndrome, Tessa also lives with autism and apraxia, which means more effort is required for her to communicate.
Tessa spends her weekdays attending school in a blend of classes with other students with special needs and typically developing children. She participates in a number of extracurricular activities including cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, soccer, theater class, and swimming to name a few. Tessa is always up for an adventure, big or small!
Tessa's father lost his battle with cancer two years ago so it's just her and her mom. They need a break so we're taking them to Disney World!
