Meet Leylah

This is Leylah! She's 7-years-old and in 2nd grade.

She's one of the brightest souls you'll ever come in contact with. She's selfless and is always looking to help others around her. She has a million stuffed animals and each one has a name and home in her room. She is very good at creating her own songs and getting people to sing along to them.

Leylah's family didn't know her diagnosis until she was 18 months old. They were told that she was just a late bloomer and eventually found out with an MRI that she has Cerebral Palsy, Spastic Diplegia. She has been in rigorous physical therapy ever since.

In April, she had a surgery called Selective Dorzal Rhizotomy. This was to help correct the spasticity (tightness) throughout her legs. So far she has had nothing but amazing results. She is still in intensive therapy to regain muscle strength, but she is very determined. She has worked very hard to get to where she is now and she doesn't plan to stop there!
