Meet Xena!
She was admitted to DMC CHILDRENS hospital when she was 3 months old and remained there until 9-months-old. She was on a ventilator, another stronger machine and the ECMO support. She was pulled of ECMO when she was 5-months-old after being on it for 11 days.
She had received all the benefits she was going to and it would have caused more damage if she stayed on it. She had already had several strokes and seizures. They gave her a 50/50 chance of living at that time. She remains on a feeding tube, 24/7 oxygen support and weekly infusions.
Despite these challenges, she's such a sweet and happy little girl.
We're so excited to take her and her family to Disney World with the help of Jersey Mikes, Planet Fitness, Kroger, Masco, Emagine Theatres, Canterbury Village and our charitable partner Angels of Hope!
