Miley Cyrus Has A Secret Role In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2': Get The Details

Miley Cyrus will make her return to the big screen when viewers hear her voice a character in Marvel's upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 2., which hits theaters next Friday (May 5).

Cyrus' role as Mainframe, a robotic warrior designed by Iron Man, will be uncredited but her voice is ever so recognizable, as per ScreenRant. In the newest installment of the franchise, the pop star's character will appear in a post-credits scene and is described as "an alternate universe version of Vision from The Avengers who operates within the same fictive space as Peter Quill and company."

Film director James Gunn thought of casting the 24-year-old star when he watched her on season 11 of "The Voice." "I was admiring the tone of Miley Cyrus' voice," Gunn revealed to BuzzFeed News. "I find her funny and likable and sweet. I liked that she cared about the contestants. So I was like, I think she would be a funny person to have as a voice [in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2]. So we contacted her, and she said yes. She came in and recorded, and she was a delight to work with."

While Gunn announced that he will return to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it appears that Cyrus might have a chance at joining him. "She knows that there's a chance that character may go on and become a bigger thing," the director said, adding, "That's a possibility."
