Join 100.3 WNIC at the Royal Oak Holiday Glow on Friday December 7th in downtown Royal Oak!
The Royal Oak Holiday Glow will feature traditional holiday activities like photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, horse drawn carriage rides, letters to Santa and caroling. A warming tent on Fifth Ave will house the Holiday Winter Marketplace which will have hot beverages, a bar and music. There will be live ice carvings each day of a life size sleigh and reindeer.
Massive hot-air balloons will peek above the treetops and buildings in Downtown Royal Oak. Come gather to see the balloons glow, like large holiday bulbs and illuminate the sky. The pilots will welcome children to look inside the baskets and pull the rope to the burners. At the end of the night, the pilots will host a synchronize flicker event that will leave everyone in awe. * Weather permitting. If the winds are too strong for the hot air balloons, there will be a Torch of Fire event.
HORSE AND CARRIAGE RIDES:
Rent a carriage to view the beautiful Christmas lights throughout downtown Royal Oak. Carriages hold up to 6 people (4 adults / 2 children)Or you can purchase a single seat on the Christmas Wagon (18 seats). The wagon will be pulled by a group of horses around town. Spread holiday cheer by singing Christmas carols along the way.Each ride is approximately 10- 15 minutes. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to boarding time. Check in behind the Heated Tent on Fifth Ave. Allow plenty of time to park.Due to popular demand, rides must be purchased in advance. This will eliminate wait times the day of the event. Everyone who rides must have a ticket.
