Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo

Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo

Now through January 3rd, 2021

The Detroit Zoo will be aglow for 32 magical nights with more than five million LED lights illuminating trees, buildings and over 280 sculptures throughout the front half of the Zoo. Experience the magic of the Detroit Zoo in winter as you take in the lights, sights and sounds of the season for guests of all ages. Children younger than 2 are admitted free.

New this year, a portion of tickets have been reserved exclusively for Detroit Zoological Society Members. Space is limited. The best way to guarantee your Wild Lights experience is to purchase your advance tickets today.

As the Detroit Zoo continues to prioritize the health and safety for all who experience Wild Lights, they've made a few modifications. They will be limiting the nightly capacity of Wild Lights to 1,600 guests with no more than 800 in the park at one time during the event. Also, dining locations will be open, but seating will be limited to outdoor areas only, and the 4D Theater experience and Winter Rink will be closed.

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable holiday experience. Join on select weeknights and Sundays from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays 5:00 – 10:30 p.m.

Get the best rates on dates by purchasing tickets early and online. Tickets are required for all guests ages 2 and older (under 2 admitted free). Tickets sold in advance (either online or on site at Customer Care during daytime Detroit Zoo hours) will range from $15 to $20 throughout the 32-night run of the event. All tickets must be purchased in advance, walk-up tickets will not be sold at the gate. $8 parking fee is required for all vehicles.

Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo is an outdoor event; there will be no access to animal habitats during your Wild Lights Experience.
