Jennifer Garner's partner, John Miller, prefers to stay quiet about the actress's relationship with her ex, Ben Affleck.

A source recently told Daily Mail that the Cali Group CEO, who's been linked to Garner since 2018, doesn't like "sharing" the 13 Going on 30 actress, who also allegedly acted as a mediator during Affleck's divorce from Jennifer Lopez (which was legally finalized on Friday, February 21) in addition to taking him in during the Palisades Fires earlier this year.

"John is trying to deal with Ben and Jen's relationship by mostly staying quiet, but it's very hard to do that. He knows that Ben has to be around as a father and he is more than OK with that, but he wants to be the man in the relationship. John only talks about Ben when Jen talks about Ben or when their kids talk about him. He doesn't bring him up unprompted."

The source continued:

"John respects Ben, but less is more because John wants Jen for himself. He still needs to figure out how to compartmentalize it all."

Another insider told Daily Mail that Miller felt it wasn't Garner's job to "fix her ex-husband's issues with his current wife" in June and that it "makes no sense to anyone."

The actress's friends recently expressed concern about Garner's well-being, fearing burnout as she continues to pile work, fire relief efforts, and personal obligations onto her plate on top of motherhood. Garner shares children, Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12, with Affleck as the former pair maintain a cohesive co-parenting relationship.
