Nikki Glaser is a certified Swiftie who spent thousands of dollars attending nearly two dozen stops on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, but even she has reservations about talking to her fave in person.
The comedian appeared on the February 24 episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast where she explained why she refuses to approach the "Fortnight" singer even when they are at the same events, per People. Most recently, both Glaser and Swift attended the 2025 Grammy Awards where they were each nominated; despite this, and Glaser's Swiftie status, they didn't speak.
"Everyone wants a piece," she said. "I will never be the one to be like, 'Excuse me' — ever. It's almost rude, what I do when I'm in the same room as Taylor Swift because I won't even look her way."
The Nikki Glaser Podcast host added that she doesn't want to be a "bother" and make Swift use her energy to comfort an overwhelmed Glaser if she were to "go up and say something," even as she acknowledged that the singer would be "so nice" about it.
"There's no way that she's dying for that on a night like this where everyone's doing it and of course she would be so nice. I know exactly how it would go down," she said, adding, "I just don't want to take someone's energy away that I require their energy to be put into making great music. That's what I don't want, her to make a less great song 'cause she had to be like, 'Nice to me you,' and hold me as I'm crying. No, we don't need that. I can't bother her."
Glaser hosted the Golden Globes earlier this year, and though it was a dream come true for the comedian, it also left her feeling "pissed" because Swift wasn't in attendance. That didn't put a damper on her excitement though, and she even channeled some serious Swiftie energy while preparing for her big night.
