Heads Up Rick Springfield fans: there could there be a lost, live version of “Jessie’s Girl!"
There have been some legendary lost albums over the years by artists like Neil Young, The Beatles and Marvin Gaye. But…Rick Springfield? A lost Rick Springfield record is coming out after almost 50 years. The project, called “Springfield” was recorded for Columbia Records, but the label balked at its hard rock sound and suggestive lyrics. The album was officially shelved in 1975 and sat in the vault until now. It has since been remastered from the original tapes and expanded with unheard live performances. It will be out on May 12.
