Meet Gideon! He is 13-years-old and has battled many different medical challenges.
His diagnoses have ranged from brain challenges, to heart challenges, to cancer, as well as becoming a paraplegic. He says that his toughest challenge, though, is losing his mom, Misty.
No matter what circumstances or battles Gideon faces, he is still a tremendously positive person who radiates hope. Gideon has a special ability to be liked by everyone he meets, which is a good thing considering he hasn’t met a stranger!
Our house stays full of energy with all of Gideon’s favorite things. He is an avid gamer, devoted YouTube watcher, joke teller extraordinaire, and basketball enthusiast. He also plays a mean game of Uno and, most importantly, can thrash the air guitar. Rock n’ Rollers beware, the king of air guitar is coming through! Gideon hopes to one day have a YouTube channel of his own where he can game and meet many new friends.
Our life can be hectic but also peaceful, chaotic but homeostatic, sad but hopeful— truly a rollercoaster of life experiences and emotions. However, with Gideon leading the way, we choose to embrace the positive and always look for the light at the end of every tunnel.
We are so excited to take his family to Disney World with the help of Jersey Mikes, Planet Fitness, Kroger, Masco, Emagine Theatres, Canterbury Village and our charitable partner Angels of Hope!
